Stanford's Internal Medicine Residency Program Has New Associate Program Director

Wendy Cáceres, MD, started as a new Associate Program Director for the Stanford Internal Medicine Residency program on October 1.

After earning her undergraduate degree at Harvard, Dr. Wendy Cáceres came out west to continue her education as a medical student at Stanford — and she never left. Dr. Cáceres came through our program as an Internal Medicine resident, where she distinguished herself as a top member of her class. She then joined the faculty as a primary care physician at Stanford Internal Medicine, and since 2015, has served as Co-Director of the Pacific Free Clinic. Dr. Cáceres has been extremely active in both medical student and resident education since joining the faculty. She has had a long-standing dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion in graduate medical education, and for the past two years she has led efforts on this behalf not only for our program but for the entire GME program at Stanford School of Medicine.

PCPH faculty and staff congratulate Dr. Wendy Cáceres on her new role.
