Years in Lab: 2018 - present

I received my Bachelor of Science in General Biology from UCSD in 2013. Shortly after graduating, I worked at Taconic Biosciences, starting as an Animal Care Technician, and finishing as a Team Coordinator. During this time, I became certified as a Laboratory Animal Technologist by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science. In 2015, I became the lab manager of the Fuster Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. It was there that I developed a passion for laboratory animal medicine, and subsequently decided to pursue a doctorate of veterinary medicine. I am currently attending Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, with a targeted graduation date of 2021. I am excited to be returning to Dr. Parker’s team this summer as a participant in the NIH T35 Summer Research Fellowship Program for veterinary students at Stanford!
