Orientation: Introduction to the program, class goals, past students perspectives/advice, time commitment/expectations of Pal relationship, class schedule, PALS preference forms, etc. |

PALS PREFERENCE FORMS DUE TO CLASS TA (No class) |

PALS Assigned + Speciality Doctors: Find out who your special PAL is and learn about chronic pediatric illnesses that affect PALS from a variety of speciality doctors. |
| Saturday, October 27 |
Halloween Party with PALs at LPCH Roof Deck |
| Tuesday, October 30 |
Family Visit: A special family that has faced chronic illness will visit the Pals class and answer questions. |
| Tuesday, November 13 | LPCH services available to children: A panel of LPCH educators will come and discuss the variety of services available to children at LPCH. |
| Tuesday, November 27 | Issues surrounding end of life care. |
WINTER + SPRING QUARTERS |

Classes will be held every other week on Tuesdays. The first class of each quarter will be an "update" class to make sure that everyone's PALS relationship is running smoothly. Shadowing opportunities will begin in winter quarter and continue into the spring. SPECIAL EVENTS: We hope to have a special event for each quarter.
