The 2024 Ortho Resident Research Day was honored to welcome the prestigious Visiting Professor, Dr. Bert Mandelbaum.
He is a member of the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute Board of Directors, Co-Chair of Medical Affairs at Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute, Director of FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Santa Monica, and the Team Physician for the US Soccer National Teams.
Dr. Mandelbaum delivered a captivating talk, “win from within,” and joined the “hot seat” session led by Dr. Steven Frick, where attendees were provided insight to Dr. Mandelbaum's life.
3rd Annual Augustus White III, MD DEI Visiting Professor

Dr. Steven Frick introduced our 3rd annual Augustus White III, MD Visiting Professor, Dr. Scott E. Porter, who presented a phenomenal talk to faculty, students, and staff on "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Orthopaedics."
Dr. Porter is an Orthopedic Oncology physician and Division Chief at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. He is currently a member of the South Carolina Orthopaedic Association, the national Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons, and has been inducted into the American Orthopaedic Association.
He has given over 100 visiting professor talks nationally and internationally, and we are truly honred and grateful for Dr. Porter's time and insights on DEI and diversity tapout.
