Fifth International Middle-Ear Mechanics in Research and Otology Conference

The purpose of previous triennial meetings has been to bring together experts in clinical otology, middle-ear scientists, and engineers, in order to promote the exchange of ideas between these groups. An additional goal for the 2009 meeting is to stimulate the formation of new collaborative efforts that will ultimately lead to new scientific discoveries and technological innovations related to the normal, diseased, and rehabilitated middle ear. In the spirit of fostering cross-disciplinary discussion and collaboration, the theme for the 2009 meeting will be ‘Middle-ear technologies’.
