School of Medicine senate to meet Feb. 18

The next meeting of the medical school's faculty senate is scheduled for 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 18.

Linda Boxer, MD, PhD, vice dean of the school, will discuss academic affairs. Gabriel Garcia, MD, will give a presentation on behalf of the Committee on Admissions, which he chairs.

At the senate's Jan. 21 meeting — the first of the new year — Lloyd Minor, MD, dean of the school, discussed Stanford Medicine's vision to lead the biomedical revolution. Also, Ann Weinacker, MD, professor of medicine; Joseph Hopkins, MD, clinical professor of medicine; and Frank Longo, MD, PhD, the George E. and Lucy Becker Professor in Medicine, gave an update on Stanford Medicine's late-career practitioner policy.
