Divergent Cortical Tau Positron Emission Tomography Patterns Among Patients With Preclinical Alzheimer Disease

Dr. Christina Young, a postdoctoral fellow in the Mormino Lab, has discovered heterogeneity in spatial patterns of tau PET elevations that emerge among clinically unimpaired individuals. The incorporation of this heterogeneity into our research framework will improve our understanding of age-related memory decline and resilience, as well as inform clinical trials using tau PET to screen participants and assess disease modification.
