Housing will be available in Stanford undergraduate or graduate residences. More specific information will be added to the CSI website as we receive it from Stanford Summer Conferences. Further details will also be sent to accepted students in March.
Roommate requests are not accepted. CSI staff will randomly assign rooms to participants before your check-in date. We do this to break the ice and foster networking opportunities amongst CSI participants.
Because air conditioning would drain regional energy sources, conflict with Stanford’s commitment to sustainability, and raise costs for students, Stanford doesn’t offer air conditioning throughout the residences.
Bedding, including pillows, pillowcases, sheets, and a blanket are provided by Stanford Conferences (a division of Stanford Residential & Dining Enterprises). CSI participants do not need to bring these items unless they prefer to use their personal linens.
CSI adult participants are allowed to leave campus. We suggest you let another participant or CSI program staff know of your whereabouts as a precaution. CSI youth participants MUST have written (email) AND verbal (phone call) permission from a parent or guardian before leaving the Stanford campus. All permission communication should be directed to the CSI Resident Advisor.
Three meals are provided each day for CSI participants in the dorm. On weekdays, CSI participants will have breakfast and dinner provided in the dorm dining hall. Weekday lunches are provided by CSI. All weekend meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are provided by the dorm dining hall.
