Abrams, Holly - A beautiful, big, furnished bedroom with its own attached, private, 1/2 bathroom in my charming house in a very pleasant, quiet, residential, tree-lied part of the neighborhood of Old Palo Alto is available to a non-smoker. The room is furnished with a double bed, nightstand, desk and chairs, and mirrored armoire for clothes. There is access to the fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and main bathroom for showers and baths, washer and dryer, and storage (not for cars) in the garage. The house has a pretty backyard with fruit trees and a pond. Parking is on the street. Location is a quick bicycle, bus, or car ride to/from the California Ave. station of CalTrain or Stanford. Bicycling to/from Stanford is an easy 15-minute ride. Driving to/from Stanford takes 10 minutes. The house is within walking distance to shops and cafes. As I am a medical writer (have Ph.D.) who works mainly at home, I wish to maintain the tranquil ambience of my place. Therefore, the tenant/housemate cannot have frequent guests staying overnight or longer. Pets are not allowed. Rental period can range from one month to long-term. Monthly rental fee includes wireless acess to the Internet, utilities, and cleaning service.
