Academic Requirements

Applicants must have received an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university by the time of matriculation. The institution must have been accredited at the time of Stanford's application deadline.

Minimum course requirements for admission to the school are consonant with the requirements of the state of California for purposes of licensure:

Each of these subjects must include the appropriate laboratory work.

Recommended:

Knowledge of a modern foreign language, specifically Spanish or an Asian language, and course work in behavioral sciences, calculus, physical chemistry and, in particular, biochemistry, are recommended.
