Exceptionally well-qualified students who are fully informed on suitability of the school's programs to their educational goals may apply for admission to Stanford through the Early Decision Plan.
Like our regular admissions process, this plan is administered by AMCAS and is subject to the usual constraints of AMCAS early decision plans.
An early decision application will be directed only to the one school designated by the applicant and will not be submitted to other schools until the early decision has been made.
Early decision applications must be submitted between June 15 and August 1. Early decisions are announced as soon as possible but no later than October 1. When an early decision application does not result in early acceptance, the same application may then be distributed to other schools by AMCAS at the candidate's request.
