The Stanford Medicine MD Program will provide pre-paid NBME Self-Assessment Services (NSAS) vouchers upon request for current medical students in their second year or later who are planning to take USMLE Step 1 or Step 2 CK exam this calendar year. The vouchers are an optional resource made available to cover the cost of the NBME Comprehensive Basic Science self-assessment exam or the Comprehensive Clinical Science self-assessment exam.

The two types of vouchers are made available to cover the cost of the NBME Comprehensive Basic Science - Expanded Feedback or the Comprehensive Clinical Science - Expanded Feedback self-assessment exams.

• Starting in mid-February, students can use the SoM Registrar's Office Voucher Request Form to request the NBME Comprehensive Basic Science (Step 1 practice exam).  Submitted requests will be processed starting in early March.
• On an ongoing basis, students can use the SoM Registrar's Office Voucher Request Form to request the Comprehensive Clinical Science (Step 2 CK practice exam).
   

Upon request, the student will be assigned a unique voucher and receive redemption instructions in an email message from the School of Medicine Registrar's Office within 1 - 2 weeks from the submitted request.  Vouchers for the practice exams are redeemable on the MyNBME services portal.  Note that one voucher can be provided per practice exam (i.e., one voucher for Step 1 and one voucher for Step 2), per student. 

Examinees will receive exam feedback immediately after they have completed their online self-assessment through the testing application.
