The PICU has a 20 bed capacity, which has temporarily been reduced at times due to construction in the adjacent Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Most of the rooms are like the one pictured, it is a closed unit with individual rooms. There are also 2 double door isolation rooms as well as one 4 bed open room.

Unlike the third floor rooms, due to the acuity of patients in the PICU, parent beds are not built into the PICU rooms. However, there is an adjoining parent room which provides several sleep rooms, which can be made available to parents.
