The Association of American Medical Colleges' Group on Student Affairs (GSA) issued the following Statement of Support for the Stanford LGBT-MEA:
STATEMENT OF SUPPORT FOR STANFORD LGBT SURVEY PROJECT
"Believing that access to quality healthcare is an unalienable right of all people, the Association of American Medical College's Group on Student Affairs (GSA) supports the Stanford LGBT Medical Education Research Group's LGBT Medical Education Assessment in its efforts to identify existing curricula and influence and inform the medical education community on effective curricula to prepare medical students to provide competent, compassionate health care to the LGBT patient
population. As such, the GSA solicits the support of all U.S. & Canadian medical education deans and medical students in the completion of the survey to strengthen the impact of the results."

All current D.O. and M.D. medical students (and 2009 graduates) at all medical schools in Canada and the United States are invited to participate in the LGBT Medical Education Assessment (LGBT-MEA). Participation from ALL medical students regardless of sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, personal beliefs, or subject knowledge is needed. We want your opinion!
