Contribute is easier to use than Dreamweaver, however it is also limited in what it can do. It's ideal for editing existing pages or creating new ones from existing pages. It cannot be used to create site structure. A full comparison of Contribute and Dreamweaver is available.
Please register if you are currently maintaining a Stanford Medicine site, or expect to do so in the near future.
Topics Include:
- Setting up and connecting with Contribute
- Using Contribute to maintain and edit your exitsing pages in the Stanford Medicine Web format
- Creating new pages and linking to them
- Rules and responsibilities for account holders on the system
- Security
- Accessing your department's web materials
- Making simple changes
- Issues of web site accessibility
- Hands-on training
- Lots of links and resources so you can learn more
At the end of the class, it is hoped that participants will have the tools and information to be able to make routine updates, additions, and improvements to their departmental web sites. There are 12 spaces available in this class. Priority will be given to folks currently maintaining a Stanford Medicine site.
