User Agreement

By submitting this form, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the following terms and conditions, which apply to all account-holders on IRT's server. If you have any questions about a particular site, or the use of this form, please contact Web Help before submitting the form.

  • Authority to take control of a School of Medicine site resides with the leadership of the department, division or group represented by the site, not with IRT. If seeking permission, check with the chief, department or division head, or group leader. If you're having trouble determining whom to ask, use the Web Help form to request information before proceeding.

  • You, the submitter of the request form, assert that you have the authority to modify the content of the indicated site and will be responsible for observing these policies. Requests from people without SUNet IDs will not be processed before they have been validated by a Stanford sponsor.

  • You acknowledge that you have read IRT's Hosting Requirements as well as the policies in this User Agreement, and agree to them.

  • Each person accessing IRT's server must have their own account. You agree not to share your account username and password with anyone, inside your department or out. You will be responsible for anything done with your account, and will contact IRT via the Web Help form if your password is compromised in any way. Always remember to log out whenever you leave your station for any length of time. Do not use any "save password" feature on an unsecured computer.

  • Your account will be used in maintaining your group's Web site only. You will only view files in the directory designated for your group's Web site, or in your home directory. You will not attempt to read, write, or execute files owned by other users, except through an HTML Web browser (i.e. Explorer, Netscape, Safari, Mozilla, Mosaic, etc).

  • When your association with the indicated group ends you will notify IRT in a timely fashion so that the account can be retired.
