Download these images. Click and hold (Mac) or right-click (PC) to initiate
download. Save files to an appropriate directory on your computer.

Now we will use some of this knowledge to create an image for the web.You
will need to download the source images to your own computer. The "Final
Image" is also provided, to compare your own work against.
Speaking of which, here's a reduced version of what your final image should
look like. The full-size version is
at the end of this page
Let
the demo begin
Launch Photoshop
Open the file "hootow.jpg" from your computer; immediately
Save As and call it "mydemo1.psd" Save it on your desktop,
or some other directory you can remember later
Get the Crop tool and crop tightly around the arch on "hootow.jpg." >>>
Set the crop using Return
Go to the File menu and select "Image Size." Make sure
the resolution is 72 pixels/inch and that the "Constrain Proportions" button
is checked. Change the width to 300 pixels.
Select "Sharpen" from the Filters menu
Save your file
Open the file "bird.psd" from your computer >>>
Select bird using rectangular Marquee, or Lasso tool
Copy
Go back to "mydemo1.psd"
Paste
Get "Free
Transform" from the Edit menu
Resize, rotate and move the bird under the arch, over the front of
the tower; >>>
hit Return button to set the transformation
Select "Sharpen" from the Filters menu. Too much sharpening?
Immediately select "Undo" from the Edit menu. Then "Fade
Sharpen" from the Filters menu. Set it to 50% and click "OK."
Get the Type tool and click over the image
Type in "Photoshop lets you fly free" Select Times and
make it Bold, Size and Leading 30 point, flush left and set color to
red; Click OK to set the type
Move the type above the bird and tower, roughly centered
Get "Drop Shadow" Effect from the Layers menu
Save your file
