Step 1: View the page in Contribute
To edit a page, you must first view it in Contribute. Browse to the page you want to edit by clicking on links, or type or paste the URL into the "Address" field and press "Go."
Step 2: Edit page, update headline
Click the "Edit Page" button. In a few moments, you are in edit mode and can edit content.
Step 3: Review editable regions
You will only be able to make changes within the editable areas of the page, marked by green tabs. You must select something to edit it. Here is a look at typical editable areas.
BreadCrumbs: Contains breadcrumbs links, maintained in a separate file and can't be edited directly on this page.
LeftColumn: Usually contains your left navigation links, which are maintained in a separate file and can't be edited directly on this page. Don't panic if no links are visible here. Contribute sometimes has trouble displaying them, but they will work fine in the browser.
Other columns: The names of remaining columns will depend on which version of the format you are using, and which page type. "MainColumn," "CenterColumn" and "RightColumn" are the main content regions of the page. You have free access to the content within any of these columns for editing.
