Publishing SoM Web Sites with Contribute (C1)
How to publish a Web site in the SoM Web format, the standard for the School of Medicine Web using Contribute Contribute is easier to use than Dreamweaver, however it is also limited in what it can do. It's ideal for editing existing pages or creating new ones from existing pages. It cannot be used to create site structure. A full comparison of Contribute and Dreamweaver is available. For more general web development training, we recommend the courses taught by the Lane Medical Library, Computer-based Training (CBT) (free for all Stanford people, but Windows-only) and Stanford ITSS. At the end of the class, it is hoped that participants will have the tools and information to be able to make routine updates, additions, and improvements to their departmental web sites on medstaging.stanford.edu. There are 12 spaces available in this class. Priority will be given to folks currently maintaining a SoM Web format site for the School of Medicine.
