Blogs

Moveable Type is the blogging software supported by IRT. Blog authors can post entries using a Web form, which populate the blog site with new web pages - - without the use of Dreamweaver or Contribute. Excerpts of postings are typically displayed on the blog home page in reverse chronological order. Blogs can be used to create online journals, newsletters, guestbooks and forums. If so configured, users can send comments on the postings, which, if approved by the poster, are displayed with the posting.

Blogs hosted by IRT use of one of Stanford Medicine standard formats. Blogs can be integrated into existing Web sites( to appear to the user to be like any other page on the Web site), or hosted independently.
