IRT develops and supports the overall public web presence for the School of Medicine and Stanford Hospital & Clinics. We work on behalf of the leadership at both institutions to create a flexible framework that can be leveraged by all departments and units within Stanford Medicine. We support a broad array of Web sites which in aggregate total over 300,000 web pages and work collaboratively with a diverse community of local web-authors.
We offer departments and web authors not only expert advice and execution in architecture and design, we make sure that your Web site incorporates the latest technologies.
Core Services
IRT built and maintains a solid public web infrastructure that can house and support the many individual web needs throughout Stanford Medicine. This infrastrucure includes:
- A solid design that allows individual units to apply unique branding to their sites, while still keeping it within the Stanford Medicine family.
- A set of standard tools for individual units to maintain their sites.
- Training and support to those web authors that are maintaining sites.
- A highly available hosting environment.
- A set of Web site enhancement tools specific to the Stanford Medicine site.

On an ongoing basis IRT Web & New Media promotes and encourages collaboration of Web users and publishers of Stanford Medicine through Web Author community gatherings, Web help, Web training and an email list.
