How to Request Access to an SHC Site

Once you have emailed the and gotten your SUNet ID you will need to request Contribute access to the site you want to edit. For each step, please follow these steps:

  1. Once you identify the directories you want to work with, please email the URLs to the
  2. Fill out the IRT Web Help Form
    • Enter the information about you, including your SUNet ID and Department
    • Under Information about Request, Question 1 on the form, select third radio button: "I would like to request editing access to a Web site"
    • Question 2 will appear, select the first option in drop down box: "Publishing to an existing site"
    • Please complete the rest of the form, noting the following:
      1. URL(s) of Web site(s) requesting access to. Please navigate to each area in the new hospital site in your web browser, copy the URL from the Address bar, and paste it into the Web Help form; Access cannot be granted to the stanfordhospital.org home page.
      2. Software to be used: Please select Macromedia Contribute
      3. Stanford sponsor or supervisor: SHC will provide you with a sponsor name; please refer to your previous email with SHC MarComm
      4. Complete the question if there will be or are other Web Authors editing the same content, and if so, please list their names
      5. Make sure the check box is selected that you've agreed to IRT's requirements
      6. In the text box at the end, please type/paste the confirmation text provided to you from SHC MarComm.
    • After completing the rest of the form, click "submit ticket".
  3. You should receive email from IRT confirming your access, along with a Contribute connection key and further instructions.
