Actively participating in strong computer security practices is the first step in preventing computer problems. On this site you will find information about security related issues and available resources, including:
- How to Secure Information tells you how to secure your valuable data, by backing it up, ensuring it remains confidential, and helping to protect it by using software provided by Stanford University.
- Information Privacy and Security Policies provides some basic information on different policies, and links to the Stanford University Administrative Guide, and the SUMCnet and HIPAA policies.
- Report an incident describes the steps to reporting security incidents, as stated in the Administrative Guide.
