Desk & Mobile Phones
Desk Phones are fully supported by central campus ITS. Here is a link to their department site, or student site.
Central Campus ITS also supports Cellular phones for faculty and staff use.
These links include instructions on implementing the following features for your telephone:
- Voice Mail: Standard voice is designed for one user, stores up to 25 messages, deletes archived messages after 25 days, and you can create up to 15 group distribution lists of up to 25 mailboxes each. If you need to save more messages, need to store more messages, or need wider message distribution, you can choose from a variety of expanded mailboxes.
- Teleconferencing: The Stanford telephone system allow you to have a conference call with three to 100 participants. The standard teleconferencing option enables a three person call, you can then use conference 6 for 6 people, and a conference bridge, at additional cost per call, for larger conferences.
- Conference Call 6: This feature allows you to teleconference up to six people with the Nortel Polycom and 1140E Desk Phones.
- Audio Conference Bridge Service: The School of Medicine provides a conference bridge service that will allow calls for up to 100 people. The cost for this service is $0.05/min/user. If you want an account, call the service desk at x58000.
- Additional Phone Features: • Stanford offers many additional phone features for your desk phone. Some of these require a onetime set up cost and some are charged monthly. These features include Auto Dial, Caller ID, Call Forward, Call Park, Call Transfer, Call Waiting, Redial, Speed Dial as well as many others.
