Wireless Access
Access to the School of Medicine wireless network is controlled. Only registered devices are allowed to connect.
The wireless network name (SSID) is "Stanford", and it is based on the 802.11 b/g (WiFi) standard. To register for access, plug in to the wired network (if your device can do so) and self-register. If you have a wireless-only device, such as a PDA, iPhone, or laptop without a wired port, you will need to get us to register your device for you. When calling us, you will need to provide the physical address of the device you are trying to register. See “How to Find the Hardware Address of your Device” for more information on locating this information.
To register your wireless-only device, call IRT at 725-8000.
