Dreamweaver migration

1. Check where the Local Root Folder is.

  1. Under user’s profile, launch Dreamweaver.
  2. Choose the Site menu > Edit Sites

All next steps should be done for every item in the Edit Sites list.

  1. Select the Edit >Advanced Tab.

     

Local Info category shows the path to the Local Root Folder. Make sure that this folder is on the top level of the main drive, i.e. root directory of the C: drive. If not, check the full path and using windows explorer copy the whole folder to the root directory of the C: drive. Change the path to this folder. Save changes. Show the user the new place of the Local Root Folder.

2.  Export settings 

  1.  Launch Dreamweaver under user’s profile. 
  2. Choose the Site menu.
  3. For every item in the Sites list, select the Export and save data settings file in the My Documents folder. During joining to the new domain the whole contents of this folder will be copied into the new user’s profile.

3.  Import settings (after transition to the SOM domain)

  1. Under the new domain user’s profile launch Dreamweaver.
  2. Choose the Site menu.
  3. Select the Import and choose the path to the every saved data settings file in the My Documents folder.

       

  1. Move the data settings files to the Recycle Bin.
