Video Support Policy

EdTech provides audio-visual support for the School of Medicine. Part of this support is EdTech’s video service, with an emphasis on the required curricula and the needs of the Dean’s office and School of Medicine administrative offices.

Advance Notice

One week's advance notice is required for videotaping requests. EdTech will make efforts to accommodate requests with less notice, but will evaluate these requests on a case-by-case basis.

Supported Spaces

EdTech will videotape and stream in our venues equipped with taping facilities: M104, M106, M112, M114, and CCSR 4105.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday (excluding University holidays)
8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

We can provide information on outside vendors for taping services outside of these hours.

  5. Upon request, PCAP lectures
  6. Course lectures links are generally posted by 7 p.m. on a day of the lecture

Special Events

  1. Conferences
  2. CME Activities
  3. Other conferences or events

Scheduling Information

Reservations should be made by contacting the scheduler at 650-723-6952 or medscheduler@lists.stanford.edu.

EdTech Downloadable Media Support

  1. We support the downloading of video that we have not produced. EdTech encodes taped video and hosts downloadable media from the IRT video server.
  2. EdTech provides webcasting live service for the Medical School Graduation Exercise.

NOTE: Each lecturer is required to sign a video release form prior to videotaping. If a faculty member/speaker is hesitant to sign the form, they will be given the option of allowing us to capture the session. If they then decide to sign the form, the lecture will be posted. If they decide not to sign the form, the lecture will be purged (deleted) from the video server.

Overflow Video / Audio Broadcasts from Clark and Munzer Auditoriums

EdTech can provide overflow broadcast support from both Clark and Munzer auditoriums into any of the following M-Classrooms: M104, M106, M112, M114. These are the steps required for this support:

  1. Reserve Clark and/or Munzer auditoriums and state that you would like to broadcast to M-classroom(s). Arrange Events and Services support for broadcast support from those spaces.
  2. Reserve M-Classrooms via medscheduler@lists.stanford.edu. Specifically request broadcast support from Clark or Munzer.
  3. EdTech will support the M-Rooms between 7am and 6pm Monday through Friday.
