Stanford researcher gets funding from state stem cell agency to develop new tools, techniques
Helen Blau, the Donald E. and Delia B. Baxter Professor of Pharmacology, was awarded $949,608 by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine yesterday to help develop powerful new stem cell research tools and techniques.
First functional stem-cell niche model created by Stanford scientists
For the first time, scientists here have devised a way to recreate the lair for stem cells - a microenvironment called a niche - in an adult animal.
