Fifth year of medical education recommended
The School of Medicine is now actively encouraging students to devote a fifth year to medical training. The additional year of study would supplement pre-clinical and post-clinical programs, the dual two-year focuses that form the basis of medical school. Charles Prober, senior associate dean of medical education and professor of pediatrics and of microbiology and immunology; Dean Philip Pizzo; and first-year medical students David Craig and Jonathan Kleinman are all quoted in this article.

Immune system reboot could treat autoimmune disease
