Tracy teenager helps pioneer weight-loss surgery for minors
A 17-year-old girl is undergoing gastric bypass surgery today at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Craig Albanese, professor of surgery and surgical director for the Center for Healthy Weight at Packard, and John Morton, assistant professor of surgery and director of Stanford's bariatric program, will perform the surgery and are quoted here. The Oakland Tribune also prepared an article and quotes Todd Kleinheinz, hospital spokesperson.
