  • BrainVR Milestone

    January 2019. BrainVR, the virtual reality tour through the brain for the Samsung Gear VR and created with medical imaging data acquired at the Stanford Radiological Sciences Laboratory, has reached a milestone: the app has been distributed for free to over 40,000 users.

    September 2018. RAD 206 (Mixed-Reality in Medicine) is a new project course offered in Autumn Quarter 2018, primarily targeted to engineering students who wish to learn about mixed-reality technology and apply it to real-world medical problems.

  • BrainVR: Virtual Exploration of the Human Brain

    September 2016. We have developed an app for the Samsung GearVR that allows the viewer to virtually explore a human brain from various angles, dive into the brain and learn about the cortex, blood supply and nerve fiber structure of a real human brain measured by Christoph Leuze and the McNab lab at the Stanford Radiological Sciences Laboratory using MRI.
