Stanford Tri-Valley Hospitalists Education Programs

The Stanford Tri-Valley Hospitalist Team offers multiple education programs.  Each program has been specifically designed to provide a rich experience for trainees.

Internal Medicine Resident Rotation

This one-month elective exposes advanced residents to a community hospital.  Residents work directly with attendings, caring for a panel of patients.

Stanford Physician Assistant Student Rotation

This rotation exposes Stanford Physician Assistant students to inpatient medicine.  Stanford Tri-Valley features a wide variety of patient conditions in multiple care settings.

Stanford Healthcare Tri-Valley Clinical Academy

2-week program for pre-medical high school juniors and seniors designed to educate and energize future doctors. We wish to provide opportunities for students to gain insight and solidify their interests in the world of medicine.

MSPA POM Y2

The Clinical Practicum is a longitudinal training and mentorship experience at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley for second-year physician assistant students. Students will spend half-day sessions during their training with experienced clinician preceptors. During these sessions, students will have the opportunity to practice clinical skills (i.e., medical interview, physical examination) under direct observation and receive constructive feedback on their performance. Students receive regular verbal feedback as well as written evaluations of their performance.
