Mia has been working in nutrition and holistic health since 2009. While achieving a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island, Mia founded URI's yoga program and implemented classes in yoga and mindfulness. She served Rhode Island's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by creating literature on nutrition science for various community agencies in the area. On a volunteer basis, Mia served Women and Infants' Hospital, teaching weight management classes to cancer survivors.
Mia moved to California in 2012. She achieved an M.A. in Somatic Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2015, while working as a lifestyle coach and serving Pathways Hospice as a holistic grief counselor. After graduation, Mia went on to teach wellness classes at Summit Public Schools.
She absolutely loves her work at Stanford and looks forward to the unique and engaging conversations she gets to have with participants every day. In her spare time, Mia enjoys relaxing, spending time with friends and family, listening to podcasts, cooking, and exercise.
