What is Steps for Change?

The Steps for Change study is new and innovative research study designed to test different health programs to promote healthy living habits among mid-life and older adults, living in or nearby selected affordable housing sites throughtout the San Francisco Bay Area.

During the length of the study participants engage in regular group sessions that provide education, motivation, and support to set realistic goals, identify and overcome barriers to increase and maintain active and healthy living, which may help to prevent and manage chronic diseases.
