Incoming Residents
The Department of Graduate Medical Education is delighted to welcome you and your families to Stanford. We are here to assist you with settling into your internship/residency.
Location & Hours
We are located on the fourth floor of the Hospital in room HC435. Please feel free to stop by. Our hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm or by appointment.
Orientation
You are required to attend House Staff Orientation. If you are leaving a residency training program and cannot attend orientation please notify the Department of Graduate Medical Education at (650) 723-5948. You will not be allowed to start training without completion of the orientation process.
Welcome Reception
A House Staff Welcome BBQ for all incoming house staff will be held on August 13th from 4:30-6:30 PM on the Bing Dining Room Patio. Helen and Peter Bing will also sponsor a Halloween Party, Holiday Buffet, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Please feel free to bring family or come as a single to these events (many residents do).
I hope to get to know each of you personally in the coming year. Best wishes on the start of your training at Stanford University Medical Center.
