e-Connect
e-Connect is your one-stop online shop for benefits, payroll, and other HR-related info. Using e-Connect you can:
- Access your benefits handbook and related forms
- Learn how to obtain verficiation of employment/income
- Update your emergency contacts

- Review paychecks and tax withholding info

Log into e-Connect at: https://econnect.stanfordmed.org
Your e-Connect username is your employee ID number. Your initial password is the last 4 digits of your social + 2 digit month of birth + 2 digit day of birth. If you have forgotten your password, or you're having difficulty logging in, please call the help desk at 650-723-3333.
COBRA
Your benefits at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital will terminate at the end of month following your termination.
Within two weeks of your termination you will receive COBRA continuation information from the Vita Administration Company (COBRA provides you with the right to temporarily continue health coverage at group rates).
You have 60 days from the notice date to sign up for coverage under COBRA. After Vita receives your application and check, coverage will be retroactive to the 1st of the month following your termination date.
It is not possible for COBRA to be sent out prior to the effective termination date.
If you will be leaving the state or will have a new address immediately following your termination, it is important that you change your address, via e-Connect, prior to your termination date. This will assure that your notice will be sent to the right address. Once logged in, click the Life Events bookmark, then click Move.
