Drs. Eric Nelson and Desiree LaBeaud, presented their research at Pediatrics Grand Rounds in February 26 and March 11 2016, respectively. 

Dr. LaBeaud's presentation: "A World Gone Viral: Zika Emerges in the Americas" highlighted the emerging viral infection. Her lab is conducting research on a number of arboviruses worldwide, throughout the Americas and sub-Saharan Africa.

Dr. Eric Nelson's lecture on "Leveraging Technology to Transform the Clinical and Scientific Approach to Diarrheal Disease Outbreaks" highlighted his collaborative research on interventions to improve cholera detection, treatment, and surveillance in Haiti and Bangladesh. His was part of the Harvey J. Cohen MD, PhD Endowed Lectureship in Pediatrics.
