•SUMC is located in the northwest corner of Stanford campus
•From Highway 101/Palo Alto, SUMC can be reached by either University
Ave. or Embarcadero/Galvez Rd. via Arboretum Rd and Quarry Dr.
•From Highway 280, SUMC can be reached by either Sand Hill Rd. or
Alpine Rd. exits, then via Pasteur Dr.
•Yahoo! and other Internet map services
can provide driving
directions to and from our offices.

Directions to the Cocktail Reception:
•The cocktail reception is held at the Bing Dining Room located
on the third floor of SUMC. From the main entrance, make a left down the
main corridor, make a right down the corridor where the gift shop is located,
take the escalators behind the gift shop to the 3rd floor; the Bing is
located to the left of escalators.
•The cocktail reception is from 5:30-7:00p and is scheduled the
night prior to interview day.
•This is an informal reception and interview attire is not required.
Parking and Transportation:
•The General Surgery Training Program will pay for applicant parking.
You must contact us in advance and we will mail out parking vouchers before
interview day or hand out vouchers at the cocktail reception. Daily parking
costs $10 and we cannot reimburse you for parking so please contact us
in advance.

• SUMC is located between San Francisco Airport (SFO) and San Jose
Airport (SJC)
• The Palo Alto Caltrain
Station (95 University Ave.) is conveniently located 1.5 miles from SUMC
and Stanford’s free Margueurite Shuttle is available at the station.
