Peninsula Family Advocacy Program

Peninsula Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a partnership between Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford and the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County that addresses legal issues that may negatively impact child health. FAP provides onsite legal representation, advocacy and education to families who receive medical care at LPCH and its partner clinics (including Gardner Packard Clinic and Ravenswood Family Health Center) and to pregnant women who receive prenatal care at San Mateo Medical Center and affiliated prenatal clinics. FAP’s medical director is a faculty member in the Division of General Pediatrics, and serves as Assistant Medical Director for the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership, a network of over 180 medical-legal partnerships.
