Courses

Our genetic counseling program will meet the basic requirements of the ABGC, and our unique location on a university campus with both a graduate school and medical school provides the program with unique curricular advantages. The coursework will provide students with a strong scientific background, taking advantage of many already existing courses on the Stanford graduate school and medical school campus. Since counseling skills and theory are also important for genetic counselor background, we will also ensure that all students have a strong basis in the fundamentals of counseling skills and health psychology.
