Andrea completed her undergraduate degree in molecular biology at UC Berkeley in 1996, graduated from the Genetic Counseling Program at UC Irvine in 2000 and was certified by the ABMG in 2002.  She has been at Stanford since 2000 and has worked in the medical genetics clinic, the Genetic/Dermatology Clinic, the Craniofacial Anomalies Clinic and in the outreach clinics.  She is a facilitator for the Palo Alto Huntington’s Disease Association Support Group, and she has also supervised external Genetic Counseling students on their rotations at Stanford.  For the past 2 years, Andrea has served as a member of the admissions committee, provided lectures and clinical supervision for the general genetics rotation.  As associate director of the program, Andrea will be involved in teaching, overseeing the clinical training program, and advising and mentoring students.
