Christina Giacomazzi, MD

Hometown: Hanford , CA 

Why I Chose Stanford PM&R: I chose Stanford for the awesome people, the breadth and flexibility of the program, and the perfect location. I was particularly impressed by the diversity of opportunities available from both being in Silicon Valley and being part of the Stanford community. Being from California originally, I absolutely love the weather and things to do around the Palo Alto area, and was thrilled to get back to the beautiful west coast!!!

Emily Miller, MD

Hometown: Salt Lake City, UT

Why I Chose Stanford PM&R: Stanford has a very well-rounded program which ensures that all graduating residents have good exposure to all major fields in PM&R. Additionally, they strongly encourage residents to find their own opportunities and personalize their residency experience. There are thousands of opportunities in the Bay Area that residents are able to take advantage of with the full support of their program.

Internship: Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program

Professional Interests: I am primarily interested in sports medicine, however I find it difficult to confine myself to a single area. I would love to do pediatric sports medicine, but I also really like working with college students. I'm also very interested in adaptive sports medicine and have volunteered for several adaptive sport events

Personal Interests: Skiing, Water skiing, rock climbing, soccer, rugby, yoga, hiking, backpacking, pretty much anything that involves being outside and active! I am also an amateur photographer and play the piano with any remaining spare time

Fun Fact: I played rugby in college, earned the nickname "Killer Miller", and competed in the national tournament

Interests: Spine and outpatient MSK/Ultrasound

Personal Interests: Basketball, hanging out with my dog, traveling, food

Why I Chose Stanford PM&R: Stanford has an unparalleled combination of well-rounded clinical expertise, camaraderie among residents and faculty, and support for resident collaboration with the local tech community. Having previously worked at Google and consulted for a health tech company, I sought to expand my work in the health tech sector.
