For the School of Medicine to accomplish its goal of enhancing the connection between the basic and the clinical sciences, it must have buildings capable of supporting this partnership. The school and the two hospitals are working to bring the two aspects of medicine together on the Stanford campus.

The Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge
The Li Ka Shing Center for Learning and Knowledge at Stanford University School of Medicine will bring together cutting-edge medicine, modern education and advanced technology, by design.

The Lorry I. Lokey Stem Cell Research Building (SIM1)
The building will house the Stanford Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine Institute, integrating researchers from multiple specialties and disciplines.

Clark Center
The Bio-X Program at Stanford is broad-based and campus-wide. The Program is facilitated by a new Center (The James H. Clark Center), which began construction in June 2001.
