Course and Clerkship Evaluation Tools
This section provides you with generic course and clerkship evaluation forms that you can use and adapt. The Web tools section lists free or inexpensive online survey software to enable you to post your own classroom surveys.
In addition, a user-friendly guide has been written to help you create your own bar graphs of your course or clerkship ratings (using e*Value data). Another guide has been developed for individuals who would like to produce their own evaluation reports using e*Value data.
Steps to post your own surveys (primarily for electives)
- Step 1: Course and Clerkship Evaluation Forms (use these forms to collect student and clerkship ratings)
- Step 2: Use a free online survey tool to post the course or clerkship evaluation form
- Step 3: Notify students by e-mailing them the survey URL (generated by the survey software)
- Step 4: Download the data or take computer screen snapshots of the results
Steps to use e*Value data to create your own reports of student ratings of courses and clerkships
- Step 1: Use "A Guide to Pulling Down Student Ratings" from e*Value (performance analysis)
- Step 2: Use "A Guide to Pulling Down Student Comments" from e*Value (activity comments)
- Step 3: Use "A Guide to Create Graphs" (use your course or clerkship e*Value data to make graphs)
- Step 4: Use the student ratings and comments with the graphs to create your own evaluation reports
