Mary Ayers
Director of Learning Spaces
EPS/Center for Immersive and Simulation-based Learning (CISL)
Mary has done an outstanding job as the Team Leader for the Lean Launch initiative to change Learning Space. She has worked with Service Excellence to engage EPS administration, CISL team members, and other School of Medicine stakeholders to streamline scheduling processes so that there’s reduction in variability, errors, and turnaround time for all requests. In addition to coordinating the launch, Mary ensures adherence to the project timeline, conducts weekly huddles regarding the project, and adjusts as necessary during the iterative process. Mary's leadership in this change management has led to other improvements within our department, as now the CISL team is using the Lean Launch methodologies to change some of our other processes, such as supply ordering and replenishment.
