How to schedule an event

The hope of this program is that all faculty members transitioning to emeritus status will give a one-hour talk describing both their achievements as a scientist and their experiences in academia. This will be an invaluable historical record of their time at Stanford and a phenomenal window into the life of a scientist.

A representative from the sponsoring Department should fill out a request form (forthcoming on this page) proposing a date and location from the list below. The Dean's Office has agreed to provide up to $1000 in 1:1 matching funds to cover the cost of basic video-taping and web publishing for the lecture as well as any additional expenses related to the event (e.g., publicity and a reception following).
