Early Life Stress and Pediatric Anxiety Program

Overview

The overarching goal of the ELSPAP program is to prevent the aftermath of traumatic stress and/or anxiety in young children and adolescents and to ameliorate these effects in youth already demonstrating functional impairment.

We set out to reach this goal through a tripartite approach that anchors in professional and public awareness.  The program’s activities center on; a) research on the identification of biological and sociological risk factors for stress and anxiety vulnerability; b) development, application and dissemination of innovative treatment interventions and approaches and c) community engagement.
