Stanford University School of Medicine has long been a world leader in medical training and research, and rarely has our commitment to provide an environment of collaboration and discovery been more critical to the evolution of medicine and healthcare. Central to our mission is a curriculum that melds the study of basic science and the clinical practice of medicine into a cohesive learning program. This foundation is reinforced by individualized research that allows students to pursue deeper understanding of the ideas that inspire them. Students can work with faculty mentors from disciplines as varied as bioengineering, biomedical informatics, public health, health economics, ethics, and medical humanities to help them develop new models of scholarship.
