Rukayat Taiwo

Rukayat was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the United States for college. She attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon where she majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She subsequently went to medical school at Washington University in Saint Louis where she spent two additional years exploring the tumorigenic mechanisms of glioblastoma stem-like cells.  In her spare time, Rukayat enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.
