Samuel Cheshier, MD/PhD
Sam studied psychobiology as an undergraduate at UCLA prior to completing his medical school training at Stanford University. Sam's research focused on hematopoietic stem cell biology and brain tumor stem cells under the guidance of Dr. Irv Weissman. After residency, Sam obtained Van Wagenen Fellowship to pursue a research fellowship studying/performing stem cell implantation under the mentorship of Dr. Anders Bjorklund at the University of Lund, Sweden. Sam is interested in a career in Pediatric Neurosurgery and is currently a pediatric neurosurgery fellow at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
